Meet the Team
Acting Executive Director
Director of Growth and Revenue
Ryan Hall
Ryan works as an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Builder at SCCF. In his role, he is tasked with designing and piloting new programs with SCCF’s partners across the region to help make sure as many gaps in our ecosystem are filled. In his free time, Ryan is probably spending time with his family or volunteering at his local maker space. Reach out to Ryan if you have any questions about our getting connecting with the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Director of Programming
Katie Overfield-Zook
Katie is an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem builder with SCCF with a focus on Programs. S2V or Bootcamp, Summit or Workshops - if it’s something that educates, trains, connects, inspires, or motivates an entrepreneur - she’s working on making it happen! In her free time, Katie is probably running her business The Bloom Trio and Event Musicians, obsessing over her next favorite show or band, or playing with her kids and her cats! If you have any questions about our programs - who they are for, when/where they are happening, or how folks can get involved let Katie know!
Marketing Manager
Ashley Wenger
Ashley is the Marketing Manager at SCCF and a JMU grad (go dukes!). She is responsible for all of SCCF’s traditional and digital marketing and storytelling. You’ll likely catch her making exciting announcements on social media, snapping photos at events, and sharing entrepreneur stories on our blog! You can find her reading a good book or learning to play tennis when she's not wearing her marketing hat! If you have questions about events, programs, or SCCF news contact Ashley!
Growth & Revenue Manager
Alex Flanigan
As our Growth & Revenue Manager, Alex identifies regional and organizational needs through research, conversation, and data analysis and assists with developing new programs and processes for SCCF with a focus on equitability. On and off the clock, they love to travel and explore new small businesses and Main Streets across the state--preferably with local coffee in hand and Bear, a 12-year-old rescue dog, along for the ride! If you have any feedback on how SCCF can better serve entrepreneurs in the Valley, contact Alex.
Director of Capital
Chrissy Weiss
Chrissy is the Director of Capital for SCCF. She manages the microloan application process while also continuing to support the current loan client portfolio. Chrissy enjoys working closely with entrepreneurs, assisting them with the microloan application and compiling the documents required for the microloan package. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and walking her dog Toby! Reach out to Chrissy to set up an interest meeting or to learn more about the microloan program.
Finance Navigator - Consultant
Gabrielle Cash
Gabrielle's role as Finance Navigator will address the barriers to capital under-resourced and rural entrepreneurs face in the Shenandoah Valley. She will be a dedicated support specialist and advocate for underserved communities to help them unlock and compete for various financing opportunities, serving as a resource connector and entrepreneurial ecosystem builder. When not wearing her ecosystem-building hat, her free time is filled with homesteading activities, expanding her fine arts portfolio, binging indie films with her husband, or listening to audiobooks while enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountain trails with her dog. Interested in supporting this project or learning more? Drop Gabrielle a message!
