Meet the Team

Executive Director
Debbie Irwin
Debbie is the Executive Director of SCCF. She helps set the vision of the organization and creates the culture and environment needed for the SCCF staff to be incredibly successful. When she isn’t supporting staff or engaging with members of the Shenandoah Valley community, she is likely dreaming up another business idea, hanging out with her kids, or building something at home.

Director of Growth and Revenue
Ryan Hall
Ryan works as an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Builder at SCCF. In his role, he is tasked with designing and piloting new programs with SCCF’s partners across the region to help make sure as many gaps in our ecosystem are filled. In his free time, Ryan is probably spending time with his family or volunteering at his local maker space. Reach out to Ryan if you have any questions about our getting connecting with the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Director of Programming
Katie Overfield-Zook
Katie is an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem builder with SCCF with a focus on Programs. S2V or Bootcamp, Summit, Entrepreneurs Off the Clock, Women Meetups, Techstars Startup Weekends, or Workshops - if it’s something that educates, trains, connects, inspires, or motivates an entrepreneur - she’s working on making it happen! In her free time, Katie is probably running her business The Bloom Trio and Event Musicians, obsessing over her next favorite show or band, or playing with her kids and her cats! If you have any questions about our programs - who they are for, when/where they are happening, or how folks can get involved let Katie know!

Director of Ecosystem Building
Anika Horn
As Director of Ecosystem Building, Anika works to build a strong coalition of entrepreneurial support organizations across the Valley, to ensure that the makers, doers, and visionaries in our region know what talent, information, opportunities, and resources are available to them. Outside the office, you may see her zipping through Staunton on her bike or in a local coffee shop drafting the next episode of her podcast Ecosystems for Change. If you’re passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in the Valley, reach out to Anika to find out how to get involved.

Microfinance Director
Kristin Wong
Kristin is the Microfinance Director here at SCCF. She manages the microloan application process while also continuing to support the current loan client portfolio. When she’s not enjoying looking through your loan application, she is cooking a new recipe or finding a new coffee shop to read a book in. Please reach out to Kristin if you have any questions about funding your business ideas, or our microloan program!

Community Outreach
Nick Koger
Nick works in Community Outreach at SCCF. He builds new relationships with entrepreneurs unaware of SCCF’s services, identifies potential fundraising contacts for SCCF to engage with, and collects Valley entrepreneur stories. Nick runs a technology startup outside of work that makes it easy to shop locally in the Shenandoah Valley. Contact Nick if you’re interested in Valley resources for your business or if you’re looking to connect with subject matter experts, mentors, or programs.

Marketing Manager
Ashley Wenger
As Marketing Manager, Ashley is responsible for all of SCCF’s traditional and digital marketing, as well as storytelling. You’ll likely catch her making exciting announcements, creating TikToks, and sharing entrepreneur stories on our blog! When she’s not wearing her marketing hat, you can find her reading a good book or finding a new place to eat! If you have questions about events, programs, SCCF news, or have an inspiring story about an entrepreneur, contact Ashley!

Program Manager
Angela Piscitelli
Angela is a Program Manager at SCCF helping to facilitate our various programs. She started working with SCCF last year while partnering with AmeriCorps. She works with local entrepreneurs and analyzes the Shenandoah Valley to identify areas of opportunities for entrepreneurs with disabilities in the region, and hopes to build a program in the future to make the area more accessible for all. As a former white water river guide, she enjoys kayaking in her time off while also working on starting a mobile notary business on the side. If you have questions about SCCF programs, contact Angela.

Program Administrator
Joyel Allen
Joyel is the Program Administrator here at SCCF with an emphasis on our capital programs. She gets to talk one on one with a lot of clients about their funding needs and helps them find which programs are right for them. Outside of that, she spends her time helping out at a local church, hanging out with friends and spends way too much time trying to find a good Netflix show to watch. Please contact Joyel if you are interested in our Microloan Program or if you would like to hear about any other programs/events we have here at SCCF.

Program Manager
Jessica Bond
Jessica is a Program Manager at SCCF ensuring that our programs run smoothly and efficiently. She is passionate about helping local entrepreneurs and believes that their work is an integral part of what makes the Shenandoah Valley so special.
